COVID-19 Procedures

The safety of our guests, team members and community continues to be our top priority.  As a valued guest, we want you to feel secure and confident while at Stellar Heliskiing. Our industry and trade association, HeliCat Canada, has developed best practices for the heli and cat sector to manage COVID-19. Standard operational procedures specific to Stellar Heliskiing are being created to provide a safe environment with recommendations from WorkSafe BC and the British Columbia Government.  We will meet or exceed the present-day guidelines and recommendations set forth, but due to the ever-changing nature of COVID-19, these may need to be adjusted. We will post any updates on this page.

Stellar Heliskiing is an approved Safe Travel destination. The Safe Travels Stamp recognizes that we meet the highest standards of WTTC’s Safe Travels Protocols as required for our guests to enjoy Safe Travel.

Daily Health Screening

All guests and staff will complete daily COVID-19 screening and questionnaire while at Stellar Heliskiing. Anyone visibly unwell at any time during a trip will not be allowed to join activities.

Physical Distancing

We will make every attempt to allow for physical distancing. In the occurrence where physical distancing is not possible, we will provide and require guests and staff to wear a non-medical mask or face covering.  Our facilities have been adapted and there will be signage to help guests keep the 2m physical distance.  All guests and staff will be required to wear a mask when traveling in the helicopter and in vehicles to and from remote staging locations.  When in the lodge and field, when not in your cohort group while in the lodge and field, please remain 2m apart.  Furniture in the office and hanger will be arranged to allow for distancing.

Clean Spaces

Our staff will be implementing enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of high touch surfaces on helicopters, transport vehicles, public restrooms, all common areas, and staff areas. Hand sanitizer will be available for use in all common areas.

Small Groups

Small group heliskiing is how we have always operated.  Bring your group of 4 and be your own bubble.  We will do our best to keep the same guide and heli pilot for the duration of your trip.

Custom Accommodation

Guests can choose an accommodation option that is right for them. Our standard packages include lodging at the Kaslo Hotel. Guests can upgrade to single occupancy or choose a private accommodation in or close to Kaslo with the option to add a private chef.
